The mission of the DC Gay Basketball League is to provide a fun, supportive and safe venue for LGBTQ individuals and ally athletes of various skill levels to play basketball. Creating open gym opportunities and weekly seasonal games culminating to a championship, the league provides a fun venue for the sport, but can also lead to creating lasting and meaningful relationships between people from all walks of life in the Greater Washington D.C. area. Additionally, the league provides a safe space and fellowship for people of all sexual orientations. We welcome all level of skills to join us, from those who have played for years to those who are new to the game of basketball.
